Bob has been in Leduc since 1962 when his father John became the Chief Administrator of the Leduc Community Hospital.

Growing up in Leduc, attending schools in the community, and teaching for many years in Leduc and surrounding area, Bob knows what has made Leduc the great city that it is.

To Whom It May Concern:

I write this letter to endorse Bob Young as our Mayor of Leduc.

Bob Young has been instrumental in many youth initiatives. As a former teacher, Bob has a passion and interest in investing in our future through the lives of young people.

Bob is, in part, responsible for the Leduc Recreation Centre being built, he is, responsible for the baseball diamonds in Leduc, he is, responsible for the soccer pitches and fields that are in the lede park, he is, responsible for the youth council and he is, in part responsible for Stageworks Academy of the Performing Arts Cultural Facility being built.

He recognizes that our future doesn't exist without the development and growth of our next generations. Whether our kids are in sport, academics and leadership, or the arts, he ensures our kids too have their voice.

I wish you luck Bob and can't wait to see where you take our community in the future.

Susan Perry

Leduc Hub Association

I am honoured to support Bob Young for Mayor.

An approachable, dedicated and knowledgeable candidate that has shown great insight and strength in leadership, most especially during these last couple of years and its challenges, he is definitely the best for the job for the next four years.

In my position working with the Leduc Hub Association I can state with confidence that Bob has always been supportive and an excellent leader when it comes to the not for profit sector in the City of Leduc. He has lead the city through unprecedented growth, recognizing that there are challenges in all areas that come with growth.

Bob Young sees the ‘whole picture’ when it comes to his leadership. He promotes business interests and growth, showing that Leduc is not only a great place to live, but for opening and operating a business as well. He has surrounded his council with skilled individuals to manage the day to day operations of our city from infrastructure to recreation to social services, while always keeping involved in all aspects of Leduc.

A kind, thoughtful man of integrity with the experience, Bob has always made time for everyone. Most recently he spent the good part of an hour introducing a young autistic girl to the workings of City Hall because she just wanted to ‘meet the Mayor’.
